rssTunes is a lightweight feed reader built for fans of
music blogs. It functions like a normal RSS reader, except it only "displays" audio,
and controls like a standard media player. Built on Silverlight, it can run on both
Macs and PCs, rssTunes is also socially aware and can share tracks via Twitter.
The music player with social skills. Aside from pulling in tracks from your favorite blogs, rssTunes plays well with others. Give it your last.fm info and it will scrobble tracks as they come in, and a built in bit.ly url generator makes sharing tracks with a single click on twitter simple.
Made on a Mac, Built in Silverlight Want your player to run on the desktop, and live in the Mac dock, like any other app? Fine. Prefer to play through Internet Explorer 8 on WIndows 7? Also fine. Thanks to Silverlight, you can run in browser or on the desktop whether it’s a Mac or a pc. And if you’d like to learn about how we pulled the development off on a Mac, go check out our blog “MessWithSilverlight” where we talk about such nerdery in depth.
